Patients having surgery in the morning:

• Do not have Sodium-glucose co-transporter-2 (SGLT2) inhibitors (see list in the table below) for 72 hours before surgery.

• Do not have other diabetic tablets the evening before or the morning of procedure. Bring all diabetic medications with you.

• Have normal evening dose and half morning dose of subcutaneous insulin. Exanatide/Liraglutide/Dulaglutide - brand name Byetta/Bydureon or Victoza or Trulicity.

Patients having surgery in the afternoon:

• Do not have Sodium-glucose co-transporter-2 (SGLT2) inhibitors (see list in the table below) for 72 hours before surgery.

• Do not have other diabetic tablets the evening before or the morning of procedure, even if having breakfast. Bring all diabetic medications with you.

• Have normal evening dose and half morning dose of subcutaneous insulin. Exanatide/Liraglutide/Dulaglutide - brand name Byetta/Bydureon or Victoza or Trulicity.
